  • Sunday Goals and the weather

I slept until 5:30 today. I did of course, wake up at 3 when my little one started to snore, Trying to beat the band, But through some miracle, (likely called exhaustion) I went back to sleep until 530. So of course, When I woke up the level of fatigue was much worse than a…

    Lazy Saturday

Saturday’s gone, the four hour work week a laughable idea. My attempts to relax and take my own advice failed miserably today- no sleep, a sick boy, even my effort to attend a yoga class horribly off track when I went to the class without a yoga mat…or gym bag. Somehow, I’d left the house…

  • Me. Not-so-clean

Another Friday morning, although it feels a little wrong to say that already. A midweek holiday leaves me feeling not quite right until the Sunday reset. January 1st, 2019

Listening to the clock on the wall, the gentle tick, tick, tick soothing with its consistent, monotonous presence. The animals are restless today. Why, I’m not sure. Maybe they sense another new year is here, with the potential for all things great and small, all things bright and beautiful. Or perhaps they care not about…

    Christmas Eve 2018

After a busy month, and a busy and productive fall, At last Christmas has come For us, one and all It waits not for the time To let it in Nor for free time to finally begin It comes with a whisper, A brush of air The bright excitement of children, The festive clothing we…
