So today was my deliciously

unexpected

half day of work.

Like most things I do,

it didn’t go exactly to plan.

Morning ran into lunch,

then lunch ran into a meeting

which turned out to be so enjoyable

That we ran late

(what? I know!)

So by the time I got to my free time,

I was down to only three hours.

But I made the most of them!

I went through 6 months of mail,

Finished edits

Checked email and answered it,

Then turned around

and it was 430,

and time to go home.

I looked at my to do list with pride,

then felt my jaw fall open

In shock

I’d added another ten items.

Guess I’ll be working on it again tomorrow!
