Tech and the cave girl

Another week, another day of work. Monday’s are always a rush to get everyone out of the house.

Feed, water, dress the kids. Hope that their hair is vaguely presentable, with minimal dreads.

Fast-forward through the morning and work, staff meeting, then a stolen lunch hour with my true love.

And then time paused.

Now, I don’t want to flaunt my lack of tech ability, so I continually challenge myself with new gadgets, but only when forced to by others.

For a present for my birthday/writing career, I was gifted with some books called Elfinbook. They can be written on with eraseable ink, saved in a PDF, taken pictures of, etc.

Basically, my mind was blown, I kept trying to pick up the pieces. So how did I move past this marvel of engineering?

By attempting to dictate for the first time. Somewhere along the way, I came up with the brilliant? Idea of dictating my next novel. I could write and drive, I told myself, or walk and talk the next installment.

Win-win, right?

Well, this was the afternoon I discovered that I mumble far more than I realized. But I may be hooked.

Will I figure out the notebooks?

Will I learn how to use quotation marks while dictating?

Only time shall tell if I master the new tech, or if I’m left horribly confused.

Stay tuned!
