Panacea

Monday on vacation, brisk and sunny, coffee for me to wake up and enjoy my day.

A day made more pleasant with the arrival of old friends.

We whiled away the morning as though time had never passed, made plans to get together soon, each of us stunned to realize seven years and more had passed.

Children laughing and playing, inside and outside,

time spent at the park, listening to children understand the world around them.

A six year old stranger’s child telling me there shouldn’t be a boy or girl division as it’s stupid,

everyone can be what they want.

Pizza and television, stories and night time kisses and hugs.

Good friends, good food and family

Truly, life’s panacea
