and know you’ll never be alone,

The last time you see your toes

And wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into

And then they cry and coo

Sleep on your chest

Smile and say I love you

They learn and grow

make you laugh and cry

Mother’s Day is not just once a year

It’s every moment when you realize

How much you’ve changed

What they’ve done to you

What they’ve given you

And what you have to look forward to

For all the ways

They’ve made my life richer

Thanks to the little ones,

Who’ve made me their mom

And thanks to all the moms
