A short week that felt so long.
Sad goodbyes that felt so sudden, but when looking back they were anything but.
Slowly climbing out of the deep freeze, then plunging back in.
Children becoming bored and rambunctious near the end of their vacation from school,
Asking if they can go tomorrow.
New glasses, new experiences.
The same old, same old.
A lovely new box of books to add to another box, riding around in my trunk, my new book baby.
My little boy, still allergic and still rubbing his face on the cats.
I know they’re soft, but please stop.
Friday is the time the week exhales and wakes up again, ready for Saturday.
Ready to plunge into another new week.Click here for reuse options!
