Bath time

“Oh my god!” Muttering under my breath at the sheer noise bouncing off the wrap tub full of children slippery with bubbles, I had to move my phone to a safer location.

I watched the little monsters shriek at each other and alternate hysterical laughter with loud cries at small unjustices about who stole the bubbles from whom.

My heart got tight, much like the tub, trying to fit three kids 2,4,6 that are starting to grow- finally! All my little loves are lanky beans, but at long, long last you can’t see every single rib and vertebra when they bend over.

As much as I love the little dears, the bath gets cut short every time due to mommy ears bleeding from the noise. There will be other baths, but my brain takes a snapshot of this moment. They keep changing and growing, stretching towards the sun and the adults they will become, and I have to cover my eyes at the brilliance.
